Fees, Rebates & Payment

Dietitian Consultation Fees

  • Individual consultation (standard one hour) – $100
  • Individual consultation (extended ane hour and a quarter) – $120
  • Follow up consultation – $60
  • EPC (Enhanced Primary Care) Plan – $70 (qualifies for a $50.05 rebate)
  • Family package (4 week block) – $500
  • On-line meal plan – $75
  • Update of your on-line meal plan – $50

Private Health Fund Rebates

Most private health funds provide rebates for visits to dietitians. 

The rebate depends on your level of cover. Contact your health care provider to see what rebates you are entitled to. 

HICAPS is available which means you are able to claim your reabate at the time of payment. 

Payment Methods

Eftpos and credit card facilities are available and cash payments are accepted. 

Medicare Rebates

Medicare provides a rebate of $51.95 per consultation for patients who have been referred to a dietitian by their doctor on an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC). An EPC is set up for patients who suffer from chronic health conditions such as obesity, diabetes and heart disease. To be eligible for this rebate you must be set up with an EPC plan with your doctor before your dietetic consultation. Please bring your Enhanced Primary Care plan with you to your appointment. 

Healthy Beings does not bulk bill for EPC services. You will need to pay for your consultation up front and take the receipt back to Medicare for your rebate. Currently the rebate is $47.85 for each session. 

Department of Veteran Affairs Provider (DVA)

Healthy Beings is a provider for the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). If you have a Gold Card, you will not have to pay for your visit to the dietitian. Home visits are available if required. Cancellation Policy

It is necessary to give at least 24hrs notice for all cancellations or rescheduling of your appointments. A cancellation fee of 100% of the fee may be charged for missed appointments or appointments which are cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice. Cancellation fees exist to make sure appointment times are kept available for others who need them and to ensure that you respect your dietitian’s time.
At Healthy Beings we do appreciate that in some circumstances, short notice may occasionally be unavoidable, and discretion will be exercised in such cases.
